Essie Hwahyoo Joh is a Korean-Canadian freelance creative specializing in creative production and casting, based between Seoul and Vancouver. She is the founder of INTER-Agency (est. 2023) and currently leads the Women’s Division at East Casting.

A multidisciplinary creative fueled by curiosity, Essie approaches projects through visual research, cultural insight, and thoughtful curation—shaping concepts from idea to execution. Her practice spans creative production, project management, assistant direction, casting & scouting, visual research, creative direction, and movement direction.
